So, i See you are looking for a photogRAPHER

Well, I just happen to know one!
Welcome to my page! My name is Morgan Akey, and I am a photographer servicing the western Missouri areas. Not just any photographer, though—livestock photography is my specialty. I'm here to take the stress away from getting those pictures you need.

I know it can be stressful: deadlines for sale catalogs, parents wanting a picture of their kid's prized animal. A camera can be a little scarier than it looks, and it's hard to be in two spots at once.

Let my experience with livestock and a camera ease your mind, and together we will get the job done! I live to catch that half-second when she is standing just right. I look for when you are deep in thought on how you are presenting not only yourself but your animal. And my favorite moment, you ask? Of course, the judge's slap!

"why just not use my phone?"

A question asked by many. While today's world has given us easy access to a camera and media in our pocket, a phone camera just doesn't provide the quality of image a professional camera can.

Photographers learn, down to the fine details, how their cameras work so they can adjust lighting, depth, and color. Also, with the ability to change lenses based on factors like zoom, frames, and blur, they can enhance the presentation of your pictures even more.

Not to mention what all goes on after photographing the animal. As we all know, animals don't stand still like we would like them to. On many occasions, there will be the need to take several pictures, compare them, and even edit them.

Downloading everything onto a laptop with a bigger screen to see better and using a keyboard and mouse versus a touch screen, makes it easier to "work" on all these pictures and find the right one for that animal. Imagine trying to ease a halter with your finger.

And it saves tons of space on your phone as well. Can you imagine, year after year, having ALL those sale pictures from both bought and sold animals you have to keep? And the stress of making sure they are on a cloud? Or if that phone was, say, stepped on by Betsy the cow, or you dropped it and ran it over with the tractor... There goes everything.

A photographer WANTS to do all this work for you to make your life a lot easier and less stressful. Technology is confusing. Pictures are time-consuming. You have a lot to feed, fields to tend to, and animals to work with. Listen to your wife. Just hire someone!
